Oscar Party: Attorney Gloria Allred and Ginger White to attend together

Woman Who Alleged That She Had a Thirteen-Year Affair with Presidential Hopeful Herman Cain to Walk the Red Carpet with Gloria Allred

Attorney Gloria Allred will walk the red carpet with her guest, Ginger White, at the Night of 100 Stars Oscar Party on Sunday, February 26, 2012 in the Crystal Ballroom at the Beverly Hills Hotel at 9641 Sunset Blvd., Beverly Hills, CA, at 4:00 P.M. PST.

Ms. Allred previously represented Sharon Bialek who was the first woman to reveal her face and name and publicly allege that Herman Cain had made inappropriate sexual advances to her when she sought his assistance in obtaining employment. Ms. Bialek was verbally attacked by some of Cain’s supporters after she came forward. Ms. White then decided to go public with her allegation of a thirteen year affair with Mr. Cain, because she felt that it was unfair that the credibility of Ms. Bialek and other women were being questioned and she felt that it was important that the public know the truth.

Ms. Allred invited Ms. White to be her guest at the Oscar Party in order to honor her for her courage and her willingness to support other women.

Most if not all were media related employees. In psychology terms isnt this woman just a little egomaniacal ? How much media and attention does one person need before its just too overboard.

Everyone does this – she just has a more impressive list of contacts than most.

It’s recommended that if you’re any sort of organization or person of note (even if it’s modest note) to boost your pr through a free press release. … More

Legal News Insurance company delay tactics short-change personal injury victims

Filed under: Auto Accident Lawyer — Tags: — Lawyer @ 6:00 pm

A recent article reveals how the insurance companies will low-ball claims or delay claims all in the name of generating profits at the expense of policyholders. The insurance industry has been transformed from a service business to a profit-driven machine, according to a report in the Huffington Post.

Insurance companies want people to accept their low-ball offers. If people injured in accidents refuse the insurer’s offer, the insurance company may delay the claim. The tactic means many people injured in car accidents or harmed by other forms of negligence need to retain lawyers to pursue personal injury lawsuits to get fair compensation See: accident lawyer Raleigh

A former Allstate insurance agent told the trial lawyers lobby (American Associates for Justice) that the strategy was designed to make claims “so expensive and so time-consuming that lawyers would start refusing to help clients.”

Biz News SOPA Boycott Of Businesses Goes Viral Targets Congress And Business Alike

Filed under: Auto Accident Lawyer — Lawyer @ 3:35 pm

Story First Found On http://www.mrcrow.com (Viral News Site)

In what may well be a first, both the Occupy Wall Street and Tea Party seem to back the latest boycott of business who support a new set of laws called SOPA. The two groups see this as the prime example of the clear conflict of interest congressional leaders have when they take money from business they are suppose to regulate.

Del Hagen an online political pundent says ” This is a very bad situation and not a good turn of events. The message seems to be very simple. Congress has completely lost the trust of the American people making economic recover very difficult at best. Until such time as a new law or even a constitutional amendment is established which regulates the behavior of congress members we see the United States continuing on its down word spiral. You can’t on one hand have congress men and women taking huge sums of money from the same business they are suppose to regulate and expect them to be unbiased. SOPA is just another example of a complete lack of understanding of the American People”

“The reason Americans are now starting to target businesses instead of congress is they feel hopeless when it comes to congress.”

“With Congressional approval at a historic low manly as a result of ramped legalized insider trading and lobbying money “Nod Nod – Wink Wink” from business they are supposed to regulate. We have come the conclusion that the corruption is so entrenched and so ramped that the current US government structure is beyond repair though traditional means. “Thus the 9% favor ability rating for congress” Basically everyone but congress knows the current US system of paying to get laws passed is not working – sorry guys. ” Said An Organizer

Law Wire News AP IMPACT: When your criminal past isn’t yours

We Asked Are Background Checking Companies Subject to Lawsuits?

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — A clerical error landed Kathleen Casey on the streets.

Out of work two years, her unemployment benefits exhausted, in danger of losing her apartment, Casey applied for a job in the pharmacy of a Boston drugstore. She was offered $11 an hour. All she had to do was pass a background check.

It turned up a 14-count criminal indictment. Kathleen Casey had been charged with larceny in a scam against an elderly man and woman that involved forged checks and fake credit cards.

There was one technicality: The company that ran the background check, First Advantage, had the wrong woman. The rap sheet belonged to Kathleen A. Casey, who lived in another town nearby and was 18 years younger. Does Kathleen have a lawsuit ? We suggest reading a personal injury lawyer web site

Kathleen Ann Casey, would-be pharmacy technician, was clean.

“It knocked my legs out from under me,” she says.

The business of background checks is booming. Employers spend at least $2 billion a year to look into the pasts of their prospective employees. They want to make sure they’re not hiring a thief, or worse.

But it is a system weakened by the conversion to digital files and compromised by the welter of private companies that profit by amassing public records and selling them to employers. These flaws have devastating consequences.

It is a system in which the most sensitive information from people’s pasts is bought and sold as a commodity.

A system in which computers scrape the public files of court systems around the country to retrieve personal data. But a system in which what they retrieve isn’t checked for errors that would be obvious to human eyes.

A system that can damage reputations and, in a time of precious few job opportunities, rob honest workers of a chance at a new start. And a system that can leave the Kathleen Caseys of the world – the innocent ones – living in a car.

Those are the results of an investigation by The Associated Press that included a review of thousands of pages of court filings and interviews with dozens of court officials, data providers, lawyers, victims and regulators.
